“AI is here to stay, and while it raises valid concerns, it also offers real opportunities. You don’t need to do everything at once. Start small, experiment, reflect, and grow from there.”

Course Details
Practical tools, critical questions, and clear next steps.
AI is everywhere, from boardrooms to rehearsal halls, and nonprofit performing arts organizations are not immune to its impact. In just a short time, artificial intelligence has gone from a futuristic concept to a practical tool shaping how we work, create, and connect. But alongside the opportunities to save time and expand reach come real concerns about privacy, intellectual property, bias, and sustainability.
This free ArtsBoost course is designed to give you a clear, balanced introduction to AI. You’ll learn the fundamentals: what AI is (and isn’t), the most common terms you need to know, and practical ways arts organizations are already experimenting with tools to ease resource constraints, engage audiences, improve accessibility, and strengthen fundraising. The lessons are approachable, beginner-friendly, and grounded in real nonprofit arts examples.
You’ll also explore the responsibilities that come with AI adoption. We’ll touch on data privacy, copyright, environmental impact, and bias, helping you start the conversation in your own organization with clarity and confidence. By the end, you’ll have a foundation to identify opportunities, ask the right questions, and take your first steps into AI adoption responsibly.
